For 2013 I challenged myself to focus on capturing colour in my photos. Occasionally I took photos with brilliantly coloured subjects, however, recently many were of drab nature scenes with browns, tans and overcast skies.
So how did I do in January? Sadly, not so well.

January flew by without too much time to take photos. Perhaps February will inspire me more.
The one tip I can share from January's experience: Always keep your camera ready and keep your eyes open for opportunities. I'm training myself to look at colour differently, focusing on details... getting 'close-up and personal' with the subject.
